LeBron James was fired up after the Los Angeles Lakers' victory on Christmas Day – but in the process, he took an unprompted shot at the NFL.
Historically, the day had belonged to basketball in the United States, with plenty of NBA games taking place on December 25 each and every year.
But this season, the NFL introduced a huge double-header on Netflix, garnering plenty of hype across the globe as the Chiefs and Ravens flexed their Super Bowl credentials.
Speaking after his team's 115-113 victory over the Golden State Warriors, the legendary Lakers star reminded the stars from a rival code what this time of year was about.

"I love the NFL – but Christmas is our day," LeBron said.
Before the final buzzer, Austin Reaves scored the winning lay-up with one second left after Stephen Curry tied it on a 31-foot three-pointer with seven seconds remaining.
LeBron finished with 31 points and 10 assists playing in his NBA-record 19th Christmas Day game, while rival superstar Curry scored 38 with eight three-pointers.
The loss was the 11th in 14 games for the Warriors and matters were made worse when Draymond Green was hit with his eighth technical late in the second quarter, putting him half-way towards the mark that would bring an automatic one-game suspension.
