Man arrested after woman found dead at Melbourne home in Boxing Day stabbing

Homicide squad detectives investigating after 59-year-old found dead at Wood Duck Court in Langwarrin

Police have arrested a 63-year-old man in relation to the death of a woman in Langwarrin in Melbourne’s south-east.

The 59-year-old woman was found about 6:30am on Boxing Day, after emergency services responded to reports that a woman had been stabbed at an address at Wood Duck Court.

Homicide squad detectives are investigating the death of the woman, who was declared dead at the scene.

Officers arrested a 63-year-old man at the address who is known to the woman.

A crime scene has been established and police are calling on anyone who witnessed the incident, who has any information or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
