There are no Aussies left in either of the singles draws at the Brisbane International after Jordan Thompson was forced to withdraw from his quarter-final due to injury.
The 30-year-old was taking on reigning champion Grigor Dimitrov on Friday afternoon and was being pummeled all over the court by the Bulgarian star.
Thompson was blown away by Dimitrov in the opening set, losing 6-1 in rather quick fashion, before receiving medical attention before the second set.
He would return to the court in a bid to battle through, but Thompson had no choice but to pull the pin down 2-1 in the set and bigger tournaments on the horizon.

"He's gotta stop, this is a shame," Peter Psaltis said on Nine.
"Not the circumstances that he wanted … let's hope this isn't going to be long term."Â

During his post-match embrace with Dimitrov, on-court microphones picked up Thompson telling his opponent that his calf was "already sore" prior to his withdrawal.
It's less than ideal timing for Thompson, who has been playing well in the lead-up to the Australian Open, which kicks off in just over a week's time in Melbourne.
Dimitrov will now advance to the semis against Jiri Lehecka in a bid to defend his title.
