The Mole: ‘Massive boost’ as Greg Inglis set to join Wests Tigers coaching staff

NRL legend Greg Inglis is set to join the Wests Tigers coaching staff in a massive boost to the struggling club.

Inglis' official role will be as assistant coach of the Tigers' NRLW team, but he is also expected to help with one-on-one coaching of the young outside backs in the NRL.

The former Rabbitohs and Storm ace is great mates with chief executive Shane Richardson and it is that association that will see Inglis join the Tigers.

It follows Queensland's announcement on Wednesday morning that GI will be an assistant coach to the Maroons women's team for the annual clash with New South Wales.

Inglis is one of the greatest players of the modern era and his presence at the Tigers will be a great confidence-builder for both the men's and women's teams.

Last year, Inglis was spotted at Concord in a mentorship role with fullback Jahream Bula.

He will work alongside Brett Kimmorley, who coaches the NRLW team.

The battling Tigers finished on the bottom of the NRLW ladder last season, but have been actively recruiting for the upcoming season.
