‘RIP TikTok’: Coco Gauff writes hilarious message after fourth-round Australian Open win

Coco Gauff has advanced to the quarter finals of the Australian Open and took time to reach out to some of her American fans after the match.

The superstar 20-year-old overcame an early scare against Belinda Bencic, winning in three sets to move into the next round of the grand slam tournament.

Gauff admitted things weren't easy against her Swiss opponent, but was happy to get the job done 7-5, 6-2, 6-1 to set up a clash with Paula Badosa on Tuesday.

"She played great tennis and it was tough for me," Gauff told Nine post-match.

"I just played more aggressively in the second and third set. Overall, I'm happy with the way I played – the first set easily could have gone my way.

"I leave it all out there on the court … sometimes the results will go your day and sometimes they won't."

The former US Open winner has earned plenty of admirers for her work both on and off the court, while also garnering a huge following on social media.

But one platform where Gauff won't be able to interact with fans is TikTok.

TikTok went dark in the United States on Saturday night (local time), less than two hours before a ban was slated to go into effect.

After her win, the world No.3 sent a message to fans who were no longer able to access the popular platform.
