Polarising Aussie batting prodigy Sam Konstas has the chance to pull off a Sheffield Shield miracle and help drag New South Wales into the competition final.
Tuesday is the last day of Australia's domestic men's red-ball tournament, and only one team is so far guaranteed a spot in the trophy decider.
South Australia are sitting comfortably atop the standings but Queensland, NSW, and Western Australia remain mathematical chances to meet them in the big dance.
As the live ladder stood on Tuesday morning, the Bulls are second on the table and in the box seat to qualify.
They look to be headed towards a draw with South Australia, as the home team's second innings is ongoing and the table-toppers lead by 310 runs.

If South Australia do declare for some reason and then the Bulls chase them down, Queensland will qualify for the final.
Amid a convoluted system of bonus points – which explains the bizarre team totals seen below – ultimately the top two will be decided by wins, draws, and losses.
"I've never played in a season where three wins could potentially get you into a Shield final. It's crazy to think that," said Queensland batter Jimmy Pierson, who scored a ton in the first innings.
Queensland, NSW, and Western Australia all have three wins, three draws, and three losses before the last matches of the season. They are separated only by bonus points.
Both NSW and Western Australia can leapfrog Queensland into second spot with a victory, if Queensland do draw.
But the Blues and Warriors are up against it and face monster run chases.
Victoria are still batting in their second innings and leading WA by 346 runs.
Like the Warriors, the Blues also need a miracle in Tasmania.

The Tigers declared their second innings at 4-383 after Jake Weatherald and Caleb Jewell hit centuries.
NSW are 0-71 in the chase but still 458 runs away from pulling off what would be an astonishing victory.
Teen talent Konstas (34 off 49) is at the crease with Blake Nikitaras (31 off 54).
Konstas began the season with a couple of neat centuries that eventually pushed him into a Test debut at the MCG, where he wowed fans and stunned India with some audacious strokeplay.
He's since been on a rollercoaster, with many criticising his brash new batting style that has seen his form fluctuate – although he hit another Shield century against Queensland last month.
We've seen his ability to score quickly – and go big – and if he gets on a roll against Tasmania on Tuesday a stunning Blues victory will not be out of the question.
The three Shield games all start at different times – SA v Queensland is 11am (AEDT), WA v Victoria is 1.30pm given the time difference between states, and Tasmania v NSW will finish under lights, starting at 2.30pm.
