LeBron James had 33 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds in his 10th triple-double of the season, enjoying another memorable night at Madison Square Garden and leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 128-112 victory over the New York Knicks.
James improved to 23-8 at his favourite arena to visit, easily surpassing the 28 points per game he had been averaging in the building.
He also became the seventh NBA player with 2,500 3-pointers. James made three of the Lakers' 19, one off their season high.
James also becomes the first player in NBA history to record multiple triple-doubles at the age of 40 or older.

The NBA icon turned 40 on December 30.
At one stage of the match during his clinical performance, a mic'd up James, stated "this is 40" before saying "I caught my second wind when I woke up this morning".
Speaking to ESPN post-match, James declared "I have no idea how I'm still doing this" when reminded of his "this is 40" quote.
"The man above's given me some great gifts, I've tried to take full advantage of it. I've put in all the work, all the dedication to the game and it's given me so much," he said.
With one minute and 50 seconds to play, James checked out with his triple-double and was replaced by his son Bronny. The chants had been growing loud throughout the match for the 20-year-old to enter the court.

Bronny made a nice lefty layup on his only shot.
Austin Reaves added 27 points and Rui Hachimura had 21 for the Lakers, who shot 58% from the field.
Josh Hart had 26 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in his seventh triple-double of the season, but the Knicks had their five-game winning streak snapped.
Jalen Brunson added 17 points and Mikal Bridges had 16.
