Joseph Suaalii’s next step in rugby journey confirmed as 40-strong Wallabies contingent named

Joseph Suaalii has been named in a 40-strong contingent for a final Wallabies training camp ahead of next year's Super Rugby season.

January's three-day camp will bring together 22 forwards and 18 backs, will all bar one having pulled on the Wallabies jersey this season. Massimo De Lutiis is the uncapped player to get the call up.

Coach Joe Schmidt said the camp was a chance for the squad to debrief the 2024 season and lay the roadmap for the 2025 international period.

"These two and a half days provide a final opportunity to look back at the 2024 season, particularly our Tests in November, then have a quick glance at the programme for 2025," he said.

"It's also a chance for the Wallabies performance and medical staff to facilitate testing before the players from the Spring Tour officially restart with their Super Rugby Pacific sides.

"As well as those in camp, it's great to see a number of players coming back from injury and others who did well for the Australia XV team, who we are looking forward to watching during the upcoming Super Rugby Pacific season."

The players will assemble in Sydney on January 8.
