Damien Cook and Clint Gutherson have been announced as the new co-captains of the Dragons, ushering in a new era for the club.
The new recruits will take over the leadership role from Ben Hunt, who departed the joint venture in the off-season after a messy contract dispute.
Both players bring a wealth of experience to St George Illawarra, having played at rep level and in grand finals during their previous tenures at the Rabbitohs and Eels.

"Cooky and Gutho have both been really impressive in every facet since joining the club in November," he said in a statement on Monday.
"The difference each has made around the group with their professionalism, leadership, Competitiveness, preparation and dedication has been obvious from day one and having them share the captaincy is a clear choice.
"Each will bring slightly different things but there's no questioning the positive impact each has made already."
Cook has been touted as the club's first-choice hooker, but coach Flanagan has hinted at a tandem role with incumbent No.9 Jacob Liddle this season.
Gutherson is expected to wear the No.1 jumper with the Red V in his first season after a shock call from Parramatta to part ways with their long-time skipper.

"With Clint and Damien stepping into formal captaincy roles, I feel the club will be well served this year in terms of leadership," chief executive Ryan Webb said.
"I look forward to seeing that continue to develop as we head into the season."
