German doubles star Tim Pütz showed his quick thinking at the Australian Open when he rushed to the aid of a ball kid who looked like she was about to collapse.
During the second set of his mixed doubles match with Demi Schuurs against John-Patrick Smith and Kimberly Birrell, Pütz ran over to the kid when a member of the crowd yelled "he's going to collapse".
Pütz immediately put his arm around the kid before Australian Open officials helped out.

"Unfortunately one of the ball kids is unwell and that's very unfortunate," caller David Basheer said on Nine.
"Temperatures have been over 30 degrees all day," Nicole Pratt.

Players continued to help out, providing towels and water.
"Ball officials do a wonderful job at the Australian Open and their welfare as well as player welfare is paramount," Basheer continued.
The match was then delayed for just under 10 minutes.
A Tennis Australia spokesperson later confirmed to Wide World of Sports that the "ball kid is fine" and is with parents and been checked by the doctor.
The Australian combination of Birrell and Smith went on to win the match 6-3, 5-7, 10-8.
