The Dolphins were stuck in a battle against the unknown ahead of round one due to Cyclone Alfred and won't be able to head home straight away after their clash against the Rabbitohs.
The NRL confirmed on Friday evening that a charter flight had been secured for the club amid concerns the team could likely be stuck in Sydney for an extended period following the match.
Unlike the Broncos, the Dolphins will not receive a police escort to Sydney Airport with the NRL organising for the team to stay in Sydney for the night.
The Dolphins will however make it home to prepare for Cyclone Alfred, with a charter flight organised to depart Sydney for Toowoomba on Saturday morning.

The decision to stay the night in Sydney was made due to the difficulties around timings with the club unable to make it from CommBank Stadium, Parramatta to Sydney Airport before curfew.
Several major airlines have confirmed that they will not be operating flights to and from Brisbane, Gold Coast and Ballina airports until at least Sunday.

The club's battle against the Rabbitohs was originally scheduled to be held in Queensland on Friday evening, however it was moved due to growing weather concerns.

Coach Kristian Woolf admitted that despite the rocky battle and changes in the Dolphins preparations, he was left impressed by how his team handled the situation.
"We had a fair bit going on during the week," he said on Nine.
"We had some decisions we had to make… but once they were made and we got to the airport there was a real spirit about the place.
"I'm really impressed with how (the team) has handled it.
"They've all got plenty going on back at home and they are obviously concerned about that but they are here to do a job as well."
