(Nine)"However, uncertainty over its future – exacerbated by Landbridge's recent financial disclosures – continues to raise concerns about its long-term stability."Yan also said that the federal Member for Solomon Luke Gosling, a big supporter of an Australian buy-back of the 99-year Chinese-held lease, lacked influence in his party."Mr Gosling has spent years talking big about the port, but when it comes to delivering real results for Territorians, he's nowhere to be seen," Yan said."Despite his grandstanding over the past week, it is clear his own government is not ready to support him."Gosling fired back, saying it was a "bizarre attempt to reframe the history of his party (the CLP) leasing the port"."The return of the Port of Darwin should be a shared goal for all sides of politics, and Mr Yan should set aside partisan games to work collaboratively and engage in meaningful discussions to secure the best outcome for Territorians," Gosling said."Despite the commentary by Mr Yan, I'll continue to work with private Australian investors, Landbridge, and the Prime Minister's Office to ensure that we achieve the outcome that is best for Territorians and Australia."Yan says if the federal government is serious about securing the port's future, it needs to put a plan on the table.
