Sanitarium has stopped producing its peanut butter range due to ”declining customer demand” and the “growth of other favorites”. The spreads were sold in major supermarkets including Coles, Woolworths and IGA. A spokesperson for Sanitarium Health Food Company, the maker of Weet Bix, said “after careful consideration and analysis” the company made the decision earlier this year to cease production of the range.

Peanut butter fans have expressed their disappointment after a popular spread was taken off the shelves.
