A popular breakfast item sold at eateries across NSW has been recalled due to fears of Salmonella contamination.Food Standards Australian New Zealand issued the recall advising it was unsafe to eat a number of acai products sold by Tropical Brazil Pty Ltd.The recall said the products were contaminated with Salmonella and could cause illness if consumed.
Food Standards Australian New Zealand has issued the recall advising it was not safe to eat two types of Acai with Guarana products sold by Tropical Brazil Pty Ltd. (Food Standards Australian New Zealand)The items recalled are the Acai with Guarana – Acai Cream 20g Granola 70g/200ml and Acai Guarana 1.7kg/2L, 3.6kg, 595g/700ml.Both products are marked Lot 302 and have a best-before date of August 1, 2026.Tropical Brazil products are available at Acai Retailers and Bars in NSW.Consumers should not eat this product. Consumers should return the product(s) to the place of purchase for a full refund.Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
