Two men arrested after young woman allegedly shot down and killed on Brisbane street

Chloe Mason knew Codye Thomson and Kaine Thomson-Gleeson and had visited a Caboolture home where she was fatally shot, police allege

Queensland police have arrested two suspects wanted for murder after a woman was chased and fatally shot in a Brisbane suburban street.

A 29-year-old Marsden man, Codye Thomson, and a 32-year-old Caboolture man, Kaine Thomson-Gleeson, were arrested without incident in Logan on Monday.

Warrants were issued for Thomson and Thomson-Gleeson after Chloe Jade Mason, 23, was found unconscious on a Caboolture street north of Brisbane, dying at the scene.

Police had been searching northern New South Wales for the pair since the alleged murder on December 22.

Authorities allege Mason knew the two men and had attended a Caboolture address where an alleged altercation occurred and she suffered a fatal gunshot wound.

They also alleged the pair fled to northern NSW in a white Holden Commodore after being interviewed on 22 December.

Investigations remain ongoing.

No charges have been laid.
