The Queensland government is finalising its decision on whether to build a new stadium for the 2032 Brisbane Olympics after the final venues report was handed down at the weekend.The report recommended that the state build Victoria Park as the new Olympic stadium.That finding was exclusively reported by 9News three weeks ago and, since then, opponents of the plan have been preparing for legal challenges to any new stadium built in the park's green space.

Senior figures see a benefit to the village being closer to Victoria Park, which also has better resale options than a village in Northshore Hamilton.Stakeholders are being consulted about what the plans might mean for them.
