Kokkinakis copped some criticism at his home grand slam after opting to play in big-money challenger competition prior to arriving at Melbourne Park.

He made it through the first round of the slam, before losing in five sets to British star Jack Draper in a gruelling clash.

The one-time Australian Open doubles champion has a career-high singles ranking of No.65 and is yet to reach the quarter-finals of a major.
