Tyson Pedro only had one name on his mind after winning his pro boxing debut.

The former UFC star stopped the previously-undefeated Taimoor Khan in the main event of Wednesday's Nowhere To Run event, earning a seventh-round knockout.

Pedro looked the goods and earned plenty of admirers, but given time perhaps isn't on his side at the age of 33, the biggest question mark was who would be next.

And with no hesitation, Pedro dropped one of the biggest names in the world in Jake Paul, who most recently defeated heavyweight icon Mike Tyson.

"Man, anyone who gets me closer to that title – but as well, I wouldn't mind getting Jake Paul back for the Tyson's," the Aussie told Stan Sport post-fight.

"One-hundred per cent, he can try and get that belt … let's go."

Paul has taken his social media stardom to the boxing ring in recent years, and while there are still doubters, the American star remains a huge box-office attraction.

Jeff Fenech – who was in Pedro's corner for his debut – hopes to see the fight come to fruition and gave a bold prediction for how it might play out.

"I'd love him to fight Jake Paul, it wouldn't go two rounds," he said.

Pedro held a 10-5 record in mixed martial arts before retiring last year, while Paul has won 11 of his 12 pro boxing fights to date.
