Matildas superstar Mary Fowler scores 95th-minute banger to put City into League Cup final

Aussie superstar Mary Fowler nailed two stunning goals, including a 95th minute winner (watch above), to send Manchester City into the Women's League Cup final on Friday morning (Auatralian time).

The Matildas jet finished off a brilliant City run by pounding the ball into the top of the net from wide of the box in the 26th minute.

Arsenal levelled things with a Mariona Caldentey penalty in the 58th minute.

Minutes later City was awarded a penalty when Fowler was bundled over inside the box.

The star stepped up but missed her shot.

The semi-final looked certain to go to extra time when the scoreboard was still locked at 1-1 after five minutes of stoppage time.

With barely 30 seconds remaining, City managed to get the ball to Fowler outside the box.

The Aussie phenom jinked and turned and somehow managed to fire a left-foot rocket between multiple defenders.

The goalkeeper could only watch the ball sail past her into the net, as City celebrated an epic victory.

Teammates flooded Fowler, who has taken her hot form for Australia into her club job in England.

The 21-year-old has played 58 games for the Matildas, netting 15 goals.

She took a break due to fatigue late last year, but was this week named in the squad to contest the SheBelieves Cup in America later this month.
